The rustic charm of Hyde Bank Farm - a Cheshire wedding venue with oodles of character.
This stunning Cheshire countryside wedding held at Hyde Bank Farm is on the blog today. Tucked away in a peaceful spot just outside of Stockport, its gorgeous stone barn buildings and secluded setting set the stage for a dreamy wedding and wonderful photos.
Wedding ceremonies at Hyde Bank Farm
The ceremony room - the Anne Hyde Suite - is a listed building full of character. With an arched wooden ceiling, aged oak beams overhead wrapped in romantic fairy lights and gorgeous stone walls leading up to the altar, it’s elegant and tasteful.
After the “I do’s”, a great spot for the confetti line is outside among the stone barn buildings. I love the colours and ambience that the historic buildings provide.
For group photos you’re spoilt for choice, with rolling hills and country garden views in every direction, as well as a vintage tractor which is always a fun feature. There are also pretty dry-stone walls on the pathway leading up to Hyde Bank Farm, which make a great setting for shots of the bridal party walking.
Wedding reception and party time at Hyde Bank Farm
Downstairs under the ceremony room is the bar that looks out onto a courtyard - the perfect area for catching up with your guests and getting the merriment started. This then leads onto the main reception room, bathed in light from the huge windows overlooking the countryside. The light pours in, making it the perfect room for all weather (and, importantly, great for photos!).
At the end of the room there are decorative barn doors framing the dancefloor, making for a great country-style backdrop for the all-important party photos. They also carry that rustic country wedding theme all the way through the wedding day.
All this indoor space also makes it a great venue whatever the weather, especially with the big windows - meaning you can still enjoy the views if it’s a drizzly day.
Couple portraits at Hyde Bank Farm
Couple shots can be taken on Hyde Bank Farm’s private grounds, or a short stroll away there’s a pretty bridge that provides a great backdrop. Heading off for a quiet walk away from your guests is also a great way to grab some down time as a couple and revel in the fact that you JUST GOT MARRIED!
